Ian Radford is a leading international engineering and construction lawyer, who specializes in the support of major infrastructure projects, and in resolving the disputes that frequently arise in connection with them. He has particularly extensive experience of FIDIC-based contracts, and of international arbitration through recognized institutions such as the ICC and LCIA. He is a graduate of Cambridge University and has worked both in private legal practice and as ‘In-house’ Counsel; and has been admitted as a solicitor in England, Australia and Hong Kong.

In recent years his work has been chiefly focused on arbitrations arising out of major infrastructure projects in the Middle East – particularly (though not solely) in the Sultanate of Oman. He has provided construction law, regulatory, and commercial advice in relation to the construction of large airport facilities, water distribution networks, desalination plants, and petrochemical process plants; and the disputes that arise in connection with these multi-billion dollar projects.

Ian is an accredited mediator with extensive experience of alternative dispute resolution procedures.
