Edward specialises in construction and engineering law.
He has extensive experience of UK and international projects, mainly in the energy, marine and infrastructure sectors. He advises on contract and commercial matters and has particular expertise in pre-contract and project phase risk management and dispute resolution including mediation, arbitration and litigation.
Edward is often engaged as project counsel during the development and construction phase of projects – to assist in negotiations, manage risk, deal with performance and programming issues and avoid disputes. He also acts as counsel on high value litigations and both ad hoc and institutional arbitrations including under the LCIA, ICC, and UNCITRAL rules. His project work often involves NEC, IChemE or FIDIC based contracts including the Red, Yellow and Silver books and he regularly gives talks and workshops on related issues.
Edward was formerly a partner in the projects team at Howard Kennedy having trained with Masons and practised with the award winning construction and engineering team at Pinsent Masons. He is also a Solicitor Advocate and holds Higher Rights of Audience (Civil).
